Recommended Cleaning Intervals
JNR Cleaning Service personnel will provide a no cost analysis of your home's fabrics, this is very useful in determining if a fabric needs cleaning, how often it should be cleaned, and what results to expect from cleaning. Over cleaning a fabric can be just as costly as under cleaning. Our goal is to help you manage your cleaning so your carpeting, upholstery, and draperies last longer and save you the cost and burden of replacing your fabrics. They are trained to make money saving recommendations as a part of our service.
If you have not yet used our service and would like some assistance in planning your cleaning please refer to this guide. Remember if you can see soil or discoloration on any of your fabrics IMMEDIATE ATTENTION is required. Permanent discoloration may have already occurred!
Carpeting Area Interval Special Considerations
• Normal Use 1-3 Years Children, Pets, Smoking clean every 6 - 12 Months
• High Traffic 6-12 months Hallways, Stairs, Family Rooms
• Low Traffic* 2-3 Years Living Rooms, Dinning Rooms
• Upholstery* 1-3 years Heavy Use, Children, Pets, Smoking every 6-12 Months
• Draperies* 1-2 years Smoking or Construction every 6-12 Months
* Special note: These areas are subject to degradation from atmospheric soils, such as cooking oils, furnace soot or contaminated ductwork. Also natural oils from our bodies combine with dust moisture and sunlight to form acids that destroy fabric yarns. Periodic cleaning will extend fabric life.
Fabric Care After Cleaning
1. Vacuum frequently -- lightly on a daily basis, thoroughly once a week.
2. Because of extra heavy wear, tufts of yarn may stick up. Do not pull; clip off with scissors.
3. A light steaming with a steam iron followed by a gently brushing will often remove the indentations in carpet pile caused by heavy furniture.
4. Blot up spills immediately with a clean, white cloth to prevent permanent damage to fibers and dyes.
A. Remove excess materials with spoon and/or by blotting.
B. Before using any spot-removal formulas, pretest chemicals in an inconspicuous area.
C. Always use small quantities of removal solutions (do not over wet as this can cause additional damages.) See our new spotting guide.
